Growing up an avid music fan, April had always believed in the power of sound as a healing tool and was later fascinated by the idea of sound therapy. After completing her RYT 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2015, she proceeded to get certified as a sound healer, studying under her mentor Yogi Sivadas from the Kailash Tribal School of Yoga & Holistic Healing in Dharamsala, India–the home of the Dalai Lama and Tibetans in exile. She returned to India four years later and received further learning under the guidance of Dr Shashi Kumar in Mysore. THE RECORDING
Sometimes things just divinely fall into place. Since quarantine, I’ve toyed with the idea of recording and releasing sound healing tracks that people could enjoy in their own space. Not long after, I was presented the opportunity to do this with Reuben “Blastique” Samuels of Mile High Sounds.

Reuben is a true genius and visionary, and anyone who has had the opportunity to brainstorm with him would know how much he ignites that fire within you and reminds you why you love music so much. He’s a mad scientist and a brilliant mind, and his attention to detail and ability to detect every nuance in a recording is extraordinary…and I can’t say enough about his technical knowledge and expertise in this field. I’m so grateful to be launching this project with him and am excited about what’s to come. Watch this space!

THE COVER
I was looking for someone who could encapsulate what I was all about, and the mood and feeling of my sessions in an art piece. I met intuitive artist Emmy Kong when she was looking for a sound healer to collaborate with and felt an instant camaraderie from the get-go. I loved her warmth and open-heartedness, and what she stood for. Right then, I knew I had met my designer.
